Aprons for the Fit-Obsessive and the Glamour-Possessed

by Ramona on November 23, 2011

Happy National Tie One On Day to every body! Have you made the bread and the apron to give it away in? If you have, leave a comment here, or on our Facebook page! We’d love to know.

The apron saga continues into the rest of the Holiday Season.  If you absolutely must be in the kitchen this Holiday Season, protect yourself from food mayhem by donning one of the stylish aprons below, designed by Sew4Home designers.

Shapely apron

Apron 1: This apron designed by the lovely folks at the Sew4Home blog, has waist pleats in the bib and the skirt!  You can call them tucks if you so wish. The pleats/tucks are the feature which makes it shapely. I told you this was for the fit-obsessive.  The decorative stitching elevates it to another level, giving it East European flair!  Sew4Home designers have added a free downloadable pattern and a really great tutorial.

Apron Glamour

Apron 2: Pass the hors d’oeuvre, darling! This apron is a bowl of cream (the late Johnny Carson used this description for beautiful guests on The Tonight Show). It has a detachable bib, and is pure unadulterated glamour! Again, here is the tutorial by Sew4Home.

Sew4Home, we heart you!

Hello Sewing Guild friends, and thank you, Samina for such a lovely post about our recent apron projects. Our “Hostess Apron Comeback” series has been a real hit. The cottage style gem you mention above is the 5th of five tutorials. Scroll down to the bottom of the project page to find links to the other four. Happy Thanksgiving.

These are very cute aprons! Hope everyone tied one on and had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Hard to find your blog now with no link to it on the ASG homepage ( or at least one I could find! lol).

Sorry about the “invisible” blog link! It is actually at the bottom of the home page. At this time our fabulous webmaster is working to make the social media links more prominent.
