Hosted by former Sew News editor Linda Griepentrog and writer Pauline Richards, Sew Much Fun Hong Kong is designed to share with you some of the region's fabric and sewing-related shopping and learning opportunities.
This could be the trip of your dreams and your chance to go behind the scenes in New York's fashion district. We meet Sunday at our hotel near the garment district for a get acquainted dinner reception. Your guides will be Marsha McClintock and Marla Kazell. Activities include a private half-day city bus tour, a visit to a designer's workroom, a private viewing at FIT's clothing collection and the Metropolitan Museum costume exhibit. We will also visit many of New York's designer fabric, trim stores and a fabric flower factory. An evening at a Broadway musical is planned along with a behind the scenes tour at Simplicity Patterns. We will see New York from the Top of the Rock, visit a Project Runway designer's workroom as well as some additional surprises. You will have free time to explore New York and we will finish the week with an beautiful evening dinner cruise This tour requires a significant amount of walking. Space is limited so don't delay.

Plus, we'll visit the beautiful Oregon Coast (and two fabric stores). In addition to the organized portions of the tour, you will have some free time to explore the city's downtown on your own with a list of our favorite places to shop.
